Dec 2020 Newsletter

December 9, 2020

As 2020 comes to a close, here is a summary of our recent activity.

Market Studies
We recently published the 8th annual Embedded Business Intelligence Market Study, examining end user trends surrounding the importance and adoption of embedded BI, architecture and
feature requirements, and targeted applications. We will round out the year’s publication calendar with the 6th edition of Big Data Analytics, to be released just prior to the holidays. Our analyst team is currently working on January’s research, which will feature the 5th edition of our Analytical Data Infrastructure flagship market study

Research Insights
Some of our newest Research Insight thought leadership reports include:

How ERP Strategy Impacts BI, Analytics, and Enterprise Performance Management, and

The Impact of COVID-19 on Businesses, Budgets, and Projects (3rd update in this series)

Future notes will include:
BI in Manufacturing: Higher Budgets and Investments Point to Improving Maturity
• A series of notes on Data Governance

The full list of completed Research Insights is shared on the portal. Let us know if you have questions about the research or need help accessing any of these titles.

Vendor Insights

As many of you are aware, we have begun building a library of in-depth, vendor-specific reports, called Vendor Insights. These reports leverage the data that we collect for our three Wisdom of Crowds flagship markets studies (i.e., BI, EPM, ADI).

To date, we have created reports covering 24 BI vendors, and 12 EPM vendors. We will begin working on a series of Vendor Insights for ADI vendors early next year. Please contact me if you would like information on licensing these exciting new reports.

New Year Data Collection
In January we will begin the New Year data collection process, which will inform our 2021 Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management flagship market studies, as well as our 2Q and 3Q thematic reports. We will hold vendor information sessions across several dates/times during the week of January 18. Michelle will be emailing everyone shortly with more information and registration details. If you have questions, please let her know.

2021 Real BI Conference
Our 5th annual Real Business Intelligence conference will take place on September 21-22. We will be back at the Tang Center on the campus of MIT in Cambridge, MA, and are planning on a hybrid onsite and virtual event. We have put together packages for onsite and virtual sponsorship, and will be reaching out in the New Year to arrange a time to discuss the various options.

The analysts and support team join me in thanking you for your ongoing support through this past year. We wish you all a very happy

holiday season and look forward to working together in 2021.

Best regards,

Danielle
