April 2020 Newsletter

April 10, 2020

We hope you are keeping safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.

Here is a recap of the recent activity at Dresner Advisory Services.

Market Studies

In March we published the Data Pipelines Market Study, the newest title in our library of Thematic reports, and the 9th Edition of our Cloud Computing and Business Intelligence Market Study.

The Data Pipeline report was picked up by Forbes – you can read the story here.

The analyst team is working on the 5th edition Self-Service BI Market Study, due for publication at the end of the month. The 11th Edition of our flagship BI Market Study is scheduled for the end of May.

Research Insights

In the past month we issued The Hyper-DecisiveTM Maturity Model, and Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Create Challenges and Opportunities in Enterprise Performance Management. We also published a special Research Insight on the impact of COVID-19 on BI and Analytics budgets and projects.
The entire library of Research Insights is available through the client portal.

Portal Update/Data Viz Beta

As previously shared, we have built a new portal application to share all our 2019 survey data. We collect a tremendous amount of data each year and are not able to display all of it within the Market  Studies and Research Insights.

This application enables you to do your own search and analysis on all the data, showing cross-tabs and analyses that did not appear in our published reports.

If you are interested in participating in the beta please let me know and I’ll provide additional details on how to access the app.

Data Collection

We understand that the current climate may complicate end user data collection, and have extended the deadline until the end of the month. While direct email to clients may not be possible for your organization at this time, we encourage you to continue to use social media and other non-intrusive methods of sharing your link, such as including it in a client newsletter or other customer communications.

If you have questions on the process, let us know. Michelle will continue to provide regular updates of your customer responses.

Subscription Units

This is a good time to think about how you would like to leverage your subscription units. With live events cancelled and postponed for the next few months, perhaps you are considering leveraging analyst input in a podcast or webinar to reach customers or prospects. Or, if you’d like to use inquiry time for planning, we are happy to help.

We appreciate your ongoing support. Stay well!

Best regards,
Danielle
