Master Data Management Market Study Report 2024

We are pleased to introduce the third edition of our research report focusing on Master Data Management (MDM).

Master data is “data about the business entities that provide context for business transactions.” Alternatively, master data represents the business objects most valuable to organizations and thus actively governed and widely shared. Examples of master data are customer (B2C and B2B, respectively), patient, citizen, person of interest, product, vendor, supplier, chart of account, and similar.

From the perspective of Dresner Advisory, we extend this definition to include analysis; thus, master data is data about the business entities that provide context for business transactions and analysis.

Master data management (MDM) is a technology-enabled discipline in which business and information technology work together to ensure the uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency, and accountability of an enterprise’s official shared master data assets.
