Here’s a recap of recent activity and a look at what’s ahead this month.
In August we published our inaugural Agentic AI report, as well as the 4th annual ModelOps and 12th annual AI, DS, and ML Market Studies. Next up with be Financial Consolidation and Close Management, scheduled for the end of September. We have adjusted the research calendar for the final quarter of the year. October Offsite!
We are excited to offer a 2026 planning meeting for our key clients, October 28th and 29th. The event is primarily for our vendor clients but will include attendees from our “Data Leaders” program and will feature keynote presentations, a 4-worlds scenario building workshop, breakout discussions, as well as socializing and networking.

| This will be a small and intimate event with 45-50 people in total. In addition to sessions with Dresner analysts, we will feature keynotes from the following:
Stephanie Woerner, MIT CISR — Creating a Future-Ready Business and the Role Vendors Play Randy Bean, Noted Author and Former CEO of NewVantage Partners — The Business Problems CDOs Are Trying to Solve: Relevant Lessons Learned Scott Anthony, Professor at Dartmouth/Tuck, Senior Advisor at Innosight, Author of the forthcoming book Epic Disruptions (September 16, 2025). You may leverage units in lieu of a fee to attend the event, at a rate of 3 units/person. Please reach out to Danielle or Howard with any questions or for information on how to register.
Mid-Year Data Collection If you’ve completed your vendor survey, you should have received an email from Michelle with a dedicated link to the end user survey. Please distribute the survey link to your customers and encourage their participation – we recommend broad and direct distribution methods such as an email campaign. There are substantial changes this time, particularly in how we cover analytical data infrastructure. If you provide any of the ADI technologies, please remind your customers to rate you in that section(s) of the survey.
Michael’s Adventure! One of our senior analysts, Michael Moran, a retired Naval officer, has decided to follow his passion and be a crew member on the Clipper Round the World sailing race. So, we won’t be seeing Michael for a while – but we will keep you posted on his adventure. The race is currently in stage one, sailing from Portsmouth, England, to Puerto Sherry, Spain. In case you want to follow along, Michael’s boat is the Washington, DC – how appropriate!
