Market Studies
We published the 8th annual Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) report in July, and the 8th Edition Data Science + Machine Learning thematic report was released this week. Your client copy may be downloaded via the client portal, and you may share the report within your organization e.g., distribute it via email or host on your own internal portal. If you have questions about usage and distribution, please let me know.
September is SME Month! We will publish both the Small and Mid- Sized Enterprise Business Intelligence and the SME Performance Management reports this month.

Vendor Insights
We have created the library of Vendor Insights for Business Intelligence, EPM and ADI vendors who are included in this year’s flagship reports. As a reminder, these reports are driven from the data we collect from end users twice a year and provide detailed vendor-specific analysis providing multi-year comparisons and benchmarks of performance. If you are interested in seeing your Vendor Insight or licensing (available in packs of 1, 3, or 5 reports) let us know.
Mid-Year Data Collection
Mid-Year Data Collection is in full swing. The data we collect will form the basis of our 4Q21 and 1Q22 research, including Analytical Data Infrastructure, Embedded BI, Data Engineering, Natural Language Analytics, and People Analytics (new).
If you completed your vendor survey, you will have received a dedicated link to the end user survey to distribute to your customers and encourage their participation. If you are an ADI vendor, please encourage customers to rate you in that section of the survey.
We will be collecting end user input through the end of October. If you have questions or need help with your vendor survey or your customer outreach, please let us know.
New! Citation Service
DAS offers distribution rights to individual charts (excepting vendor ratings) published in various market reports via a new Citation Service.
This can be added to any of the subscription packages. If selected as an option, Licensee will have external and internal distribution rights for selected charts – for 12 months – limited by the number of charts specified in the selected package.
Charts are selected and downloaded for use via the client portal and are emblazoned with watermarked license information that must remain intact for use.
The Citation Service is available in packs of 5, 10, or 20 charts. If you have questions, I’d be happy to show you a demonstration.
